School Admission Requirements

1.   The applicant must:

a. be at least 16 years of age

b. can have a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED)

c. if homeschooled, have a state-issued credential for secondary school completion

d. if currently attending high school, obtain permission in writing from the secondary school and successfully complete a pre-enrollment evaluation

2.   The applicant must complete an application from, enrollment           questionnaire, and pay the $500 non-refundable application fee.

3.   The applicant must submit their application and other required     documentation in person

4.   The applicant must provide

:

a.   proof of age (driver’s license or other government issued picture ID)

b.   social security card, student visa, or green card

c.    a 2x2 passport photo

Admission Requirements for Instructor Courses

1.   The applicant must:

a.   be at least 16 years of age and

b.   hold a current license in the relevant field of manicuring for a minimum of three (3) years (before they can be licensed as an instructor) and

c.    have a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED) or

d.   if homeschooled, have a state-issued credential for secondary school completion

         2.   The applicant must complete an application form, enrollment         questionnaire, and pay the $500 non-refundable application fee

       3.   The applicant must submit their application and other required documentation in person

       4.   The applicant must provide:

a.   proof of age (driver’s license or other government issued picture ID)

b.   a minimum of a high school diploma (or other acceptable evidence of high school graduation), GED, or state-issued credential if homeschooled

c.   social security card, student visa, or green card

d.   a 2x2 passport photo

e.   relevant manicuring license

Admission Procedure

       Applicants should contact the school to schedule an appointment for an interview and tour of the facility. During this visit, the applicant will receive the

       application form and enrollment questionnaire as well as more detailed information about the school and the manicuring program offered.

       To apply for admission, the student must submit a completed application and enrolment questionnaire, the non-refundable $500 application fee, and the

       required documentation listed under our Admissions Requirements (proof of age, proof of education, social security card (or green card/student visa),

       and 2x2 visa photo).

       The school accepts applications between 10:30AM and 4:30PM Tuesday through Friday.

        Proficient Nail Academy Johnson City will only accept students that we determine can complete and benefit from the manicuring program of study.

        Students accepted by the school will be contacted by the Director or the staff via the phone number provided on the application form

        At this time, a meeting will be set up to sign the Enrollment Agreement and other required documents.
